In August I rented an apartment, "Fresh Velasquez Apartments", in Malaga, through Booking, with the company "Caleta Homes".
At the end of our stay (around 10am on August 11) we made sure that everything was as it was when we entered. As everything was fine, we left the key, as agreed, inside the apartment, slammed the door and left. We left with peace of mind. Caleta sent us a Whatsapp message saying it was "perfect". Later that afternoon, we received an email, again from Caleta, informing us that we had left the television broken. We were surprised, because we were sure it wasn't true. If it was broken, someone else would have been there after we left and they would have had to check.
It should be noted that on the day we entered the house we left 200 euros as a deposit, which was not handed over to us when we left, claiming that they were investigating the situation. We complained several times, exchanged email messages, and they always claimed they were looking into it. Months later, on November 18, we again received an email repeating that the television was broken and, as such, the procedure was not to return the deposit.
We know we've been ripped off and scammed by the owner "Fresh Velasquez" or the agency "Caleta Homes", because we're a family who trusted someone who wasn't honest at all and we're absolutely sure that the television wasn't broken or broken.
It's extremely unpleasant to be cheated in this way. It's not just about the amount of money withheld from the deposit, but also about the lack of trust that such a situation causes in customers and in the reputation of the companies operating in the city and the credibility of the city's tourism itself.

Hola Albertina, our staff verifies the status of the apartment and the electronics before every check in, the TV was not broken the day of your check in, it was working before your arrival.

According to the terms and conditions accepted that you know, we are obliged to maintain the property inventory up-to-date for all our guests. As part of our standard procedure, we had to use the security deposit to cover the repair costs associated with the broken TV.

Again, we regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding of our commitment to maintaining the quality of our accommodations.

Calleta had already given an answer that I don't agree with, because it's completely untrue that the television was broken when we left the accommodation. We made sure that everything was in perfect condition, just as we found it, contrary to what Calleta Homes wants to tell us. We were deceived and scammed. These procedures cause bad feelings among customers and a bad reputation for tourism in your area. I will never rent accommodation of this type again.

We made sure that everything was in perfect condition, just as we found it, contrary to what Calleta Homes wants to tell us. We were deceived and scammed. These procedures cause bad feelings among customers and a bad reputation for tourism in your area. I will never rent accommodation of this type again.

We are very sorry to hear that you do not agree with the answer we gave. Our staff follows a protocol and they have to verify the status of the apartment after every check out. We understand that maybe you did not do it, but please talk with the rest of your party. Again, the TV was not broken before your check in.

Good morning,
The TV wasn't broken when we arrived or when we left, because we checked it. So we are sure that we were cheated just to keep the deposit money, which is very sad. It's your company's reputation that's been damaged, as well as that of your town. What's more... our group was just a couple and their daughters, all very responsible people who look after other people's things as well as their own. We travel a lot and this has never happened to us. You can be sure that as far as we are concerned, your company will not be recommended to anyone. I don't accept that anyone makes money from scams. It seems to me that you would earn more from honesty and customer satisfaction.
