Europcar - Kept my money for a year

Europcar has my information. They stole over 1300 euro from me. They then sent it back, one year after the rental was concluded. One year. I have asked them numerous times why they kept my money for a year, and they only said they were unable to contact me. They had my email and telephone number the entire time, and their books show they paid me back in October 2020. This is not true. I only received payment one week ago. They kept all this money throughout Covid, with no reason, and will not pay damages. This is illegal.
